  一、代詞

  (一)單復數一致

  1.含義：

  代詞的單復數與所指代對象的單復數一致。

  2.用法：

  (1)代詞一般指代主語或賓語，根據句意判斷。

  例如：

  Because of his tireless effort, Tom got a GPA of 4.0 this semester.

  Mary is an easy-going girl and she always play with her friends.

  (二)指代清晰

  1. 含義：

  代詞一定要清晰的指代它所指代的對象。

  2. 用法：

  (1)在段首，代詞名詞選名詞。

  例如：

  Neither Ms. Perez nor Ms. Tanaka believes that watching as much television as Ms. Perez’s son Sam does will lead to anything productive.

  (三)形容詞性物質代詞

  1.含義：

  具有形容詞屬性的代詞，相當于形容詞的用法，單數用its, 復數用their。

  2.用法：

  (1)its, their一般指代就近名詞、主語或賓語，根據句意判斷。

  例句：

  An increase fund for cometary mission would give scientists an opportunity to learn from their failures.
